All things Apple - the company, not the fruit, especially on the island of Singapore.

This site is going on a temporary hiatus as I await the arrival of the silver thing on the left. At the same time, the site will probably migrate back to its own host as iHeartApple embark on a new journey on board the new MBP. New things hopefully will come… keep your bookmarks, RSS feed updated.
I’ll be Mac… :D
According to this report by Channelnewsasia.com, we should be able to get our hands on the iPhone by September.
Industry sources said Apple’s iPhone will be launched in Singapore by SingTel this September, but the telco has neither confirmed nor denied this.
Yes means yes lah.
They said, however, it is unlikely SingTel will agree on a revenue-sharing model with Apple on phone sales, as it is currently done in Europe and the US.
Aloysius Choong, research manager for IDC Asia/Pacific, said: “We’ve heard an Apple executive coming out to say that they don’t necessarily need to go with that model. So it could be, and it will be in the long term, (going) back to a more familiar relationship where you distribute through the operators, you get a subsidy through the operators.”
Who knows, if Apple can’t get revenue-sharing, they probably won’t even stick with just one Telco. Bigger net to catch more fish!
Retailers expect the phone to be priced around S$690.
That’s pretty decent for the iPhone, especially with the improvements found in the iPhone OS 2.0 coming out in June.
Let’s see - iPhone OS 2.0 comes out in June, just in time with WWDC (June 9-13). Apple might take the same time to release iPhone 3G. Give and take 4-6 weeks for IDA to test out the phone, September will be just right.
Will the iPhone be RED, ORANGE or GREEN? Let’s wait and see!
